about me

I am a third year graduate student in Human-computer Interaction at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. With my advisor, Professor Bilge Mutlu, I am conducting research that explores embodied-mediated communication in telepresence robots and how it differs from computer-mediated and video-mediated communication.

  • April 9, 2013: HRI in Tokyo was a lot of fun and there was some really interesting research presented. Ramping up for CHI in Paris!
  • December 13, 2012: Trying to write a teaching philosophy, rejected quotes for it so far:
    "Give a man a fire and he's warm for a day, but set fire to him and he's warm for the rest of his life."
    "Wisdom comes from experience. Experience is often a result of lack of wisdom."
